Beans, Corn and Peas
Italians are very fond of beans, and round, stringless (French) beans and flat green Roma or "runner" beans are very popular, as well as podding beans such as borlotti and cannellini that are grown for their nutricious and tasty seeds, either fresh or dried. Peas and corn are also popular. As it is not possible to import beans, corn or peas from Italy, I have sourced some quality Australian grown varieties, many with genuine Italian heritage.
