Sow outside or transplant in late spring into a sunny position. Thin to 25x10cm. Like all basils, loves the sun and hates the cold. Sow in a sheltered position in fertile, free-draining soil and provide protection when night-time temperature falls below 8 degrees centigrade.

As the description says, a basil of intense flavour. Grows very vigourously in my Bendigo garden, after trying almost a dozen varieties, this is the one for me. My wife prefers the classico, also a great basil, but Napoletano is intense and with a different, maybe aniseedy aroma. And huge seed packets, too.
