Product Description
"Wrinkled from Friuli" is a summer squash with light yellow fruit that are firm and tasty, and flowers that hold well. Common in the north east of Italy and the markets of Venice. A vigourous plant with good production.
Received rave reviews from a grower in Queensland at the 2009 ABC Gardening Expo.

ZUCCHINI RUGOSA FRIULANA

This Zucchini is absolutely fabulous. Firstly the crop produced here in Tasmania has been very bountiful. Secondly the flesh is much firmer making it most suitable for many dishes and styles of cooking. Our favourite way is to lightly boil the zucchini whole in salted water, then when it had cooked slice in thick slices and allow to drain well. Dress with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Also terrific in stirfries with some onion and bacon and a small amount of tomato paste....just terrific!
