Old north Italian variety specifically selected by Franchi Sementi. Outstanding producer of huge (up to 400g) very tasty, pear-shaped fruit. A very fleshy tomato and excellent in salads or in a sandwich where one slice is enough. Indeterminate and early for such a large plant (70-75 days).

I have these tomatos for two seasons and they are large, meaty and a great flavor. They with little care in our New England climate

We're in Berrima, Southern Highlands, NSW. We grow this variety in our flourishing school garden at Berrima Public School. It's a HUGE tomato but crops well in our limited season, even growing seedlings in the open without greenhouse, and nor with any coverage on the beds. Unbelievable taste and texture. We love slabs of it on toast, or with boconccini, olive oil, basil and salt.

I have grown this variety of tomato for several years now,and it is a standout. Beautiful flavour, thick and fleshy, and lovely for cooking. Makes the best sanwiches.
Pity I cannot get the seeds this year.
