A French variety from the outskirts of Paris. Early variety with tasty, tender tips. Plant seed in a seed bed to produce crowns in the first year and then transplant into their permanent position in fertile, well-drained soil. Do not cut in the first year year and only lightly in the following season, and then increase cutting over the next 3 years. At the end of the cutting season allow to grow up to reinvigourate the crowns.  Cut back in winter and mulch with compost or washed seaweed. Will deliver for 20 or so years. 5g about 250 seeds.
