Climbing Bean 'Kentucky Wonder Wax'

This is a great heirloom climbing bean producing high yields of tasty all purpose beans producing almost stringless pods. The straight golden yellow pods can reach 15-20 cm in length and is a vigorous climber. Harvest young pods as snap beans, or leave to mature and use as a shell bean.. Beans are suitable fresh or for shelling - yellow colouring is most prominent at the shelling stage, tends to be lime green at the best fresh use stage. Like the dwarf yellow varieties, these beans have excellent texture and flavour. Beans are approx 15-20cm long straight and slightly flattened. Contain the size by regularly pinching out growing tips when shoots are 20-30cm (8-12”) long. Regular harvesting of beans will result in a longer yields.
