Cavolo Di Napoli ( Lactuca sativa ) is an Italian lettuce variety that can be grown in both spring and autumn, characterized by compact, medium-sized cabbage-like heads, consisting of curly bright green outer and almost white inner leaves with a crispy consistency and delicate aroma. Harvest in colder weather is suitable for better taste. Lettuce leaves rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and folic acid are suitable both as a side dish as well as in fresh vegetable salads. The plant likes sunny habitat and adequate regular watering. It is undemanding to the soil, preferring soils that are well drained and rich in organic matter.
