Franchi Special Selection. Highly prized and flavoursome early radicchio from northern Italy. Delicious in a salad, simply grilled, pan fried or in risotto.  Must mature in cold weather to develop a good red colour. Please note that heading chicories and radicchios grow initially as a mass of loose leaves but will head up with time. This variety is sensitive to heavy frost.
