Red Rooster is a new addition to the bean range. It is a bush borlotti bean seed variety. Maturity is 60-70 days and pods produce 6-7 seeds each. Pods grow to around 12 cm in length starting green then developing to a red speckled colour. The seeds also develop red speckles drying to a tan colour. Great for both dried beans and pods. Eat the seed pods early when small or leave to grow and use the seeds within for soups and stews.
